Strike & Spare Properties

Postby tdfirearms » Thu Jul 08, 2010 7:43 pm

I went to the Murfreesboro Stike & Spare (Bowling Alley) Wednesday and noticed that they are now posted as no weapons except on duty officers. It was not a legal posting, but I understand they do not want my business (money). This is a chain of bowling alleys in middle and east TN, KY, and OH. www.strikeandspare.com I don't know if the other locations are posted. There are better places to bowl in Murfreesboro and Smyrna anyway.

It would appear that the corp office is in Hendersonville. Might have to give them a call and ask them to clearify the official stance.

Can not get anybody to respond. I was rescently back at the Murfreesboro location, not by choice, and the "No Firearms" gun buster sign is now inside on the bulletin board will all of the other junk.

For the record, Gun-buster signs are now legal postings. (Unfortunately, restaurant carry came with the expense of weakening the posting requirements in 39-17-1359.)

My point is that the sign is not anywhere near the entrance. You must walk about 30 steps inside the building and turn left before you even MIGHT see the sign on the bulletin board.

Oh, I see. I suppose it could be argued that it is a deficient posting. The statute does say that "any and all entrances used by the public" must be covered. Perhaps you can find another place to bowl/seek entertainment ?
