Question about posting

Postby hpbrantley » Thu Jul 31, 2014 9:34 am

A place of business has lettering on the door that reads "UNAUTHORIZED WEAPONS PROHIBITED" with no circle with gun crossing or anything, just the text. A couple of question arise in my mind. 1) Is this proper method of posting. 2) Would a carry permit holder be considered as an "AUTHORIZED WEAPON"?

Thanks for the input.

I believe the state law specifies exactly what the sign needs to look like if they want to post against concealed carry. That does not fit any requirement I've ever heard of.
And it certainly opens the door to a defense as you HAVE been authorized by the state, in case you were to be questioned.
Do they have a metal detector?
