On 2nd Amendment and Constitutional Rights, it really could not get much worse than Jimmy Naifeh the last few years.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of Mumpower. Is he that bad?

I believe John meant that anybody would be an improvment over Naifeh.

What I suggest Mumpower needs to do is to REFRAIN from passing patchwork changes on 2nd Amendment bills until the leadership has consulted with adequate experts on these issues. If that does not happen then there is a material probability that the "change" may or may not be beneficial. For examples, I submit the negative "castle doctrine" that passed in 2007 and the adverse change to the restoration law that passed in 2008 - both with substantial republican support if not sponsorship.

Yes, one of the first things we need to do is correct that screw up.

I think with a R in charge though, we have a better chance of getting OUR bills through. Naifeh was smart enough to kill good and allow crap to pass. With him gone, hopefully we can have the reverse be true.

No doubt, I just don't want a bunch of problems coming from the drunken celebration.

Amen to THAT. Sadly, we will be getting that at the Fed level. Hopefully we can prevent any such issue at the stave level.
